Experiencing the 'Best of Business' hotel - Four points by Sheraton

While I was facing mid-week crisis, I was invited by Four Points by Sheraton Bengaluru, Whitefield for a relaxed fun evening with Best Brews, a delicious dinner at the Eatery and lots more. I was invited to be part of their first of its kind, Beer Master Class at their Best Brews bar along with a relaxed night stay at the property. I was very elated and excited.

Located on the main Whitefield road in the city’s technology hub, the newly opened, Four Points by Sheraton Bengaluru Whitefield is within easy reach from major IT companies as well as the commercial, shopping and entertainment center.
I checked in at 6.30PM and after a quick walk to my room on the 4th floor, I was taken around for the property tour led by Rajesh Malliya, General Manager of the hotel. It was very eye-pleasing to see the heritage of Karnataka reflecting in every corner of the hotel. Some of the art's have been hand-picked by the owner and most of the artists have been locals to the state. I was very delighted to see the owner encouraging the artist and also promoting the heritage of the state.

I walked along the hotel looking through the conference halls, Pool, Gym, Best Brew bar, The eatery and the luxurious rooms stocked with the needs of a traveler. Every room has a custom portrait above the head boards of the bed depicting various places of Karnataka.

Now it is time to know about The Beer Master Class at the Best Brews. The decor of Best Brews was retro with the walls having doodles depicting Bangalore in the 70's. Very laid back place where you would relax with some drinks and local savories. I have had those munching as a kid and it was very nostalgic.

A beery affair started with the host Chef Michael Swamy and Karl Fernandes making some exotic beer-based cocktails from their extensive beer selection and entertaining us by telling us on how to make them and the story behind making these cocktails. Cocktails like Beer Kazi, Summer Drummer and Citrus Oak were created using lager beer, spiced up with ingredients like lemon juice, coriander and fruit juices.

The first cocktail was Beer Kazi, it was a refreshing cocktail made from vodka, lemon juice and lager beer served in sniffer glass. Few tried it as shots too.

The second cocktail which Karl made was Summer Drummer, a sweet drink containing watermelon, cranberry juice, peach syrup topped with lager beer served in a tall glass. Not many preferred this drink as they found the sweetness level a bit too high.

The third drink which was a instant hit with everyone was Citrus Oak, made from whiskey, orange juice and lager beer. Everyone at the bar loved the drink as it gave them the taste of all ingredients. This was surely ordered till the last order was taken. Highly recommended for anyone heading to Best Brews.

Few starters were served to go along with our drinks and talks.

Heading towards The Eatery, the Hotel's signature venue where Chef Mangilal Kurly and Chef Michael Swamy dished out mouthwatering beer inspired preparations like Dhakte Ginger Prawns and Meen Varuval.

The first dish was prepared bye Executive Chf - Mangilal Kurly named Dahakte Jhinge. Jumbo prawns marinated in a ginger and garlic paste along with some spices, accompanied by beer and cooked in a hot pan and served on a sizzler plate. While serving, the dish were flambéed with brandy. This was a instant hit with everyone around and they went on munching on them all night.

Now that is what we call 'Dahakte Jhinge'
The second dish was prepared by Maestro of Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu, Chef Michael Swamy named Meen Varuval which was cooked with beer after the fish being marinated in egg, ginger-garlic paste, lemon and coriander powder and fried to crunchiness.

Post my time at Best Brew for some mocktails and The Eatery for dinner, I headed to my room to rest for a good night on the brand’s signature Four Points by Sheraton Four Comfort Bed.

Who wouldn't want to be a kid to trampoline on this bed?
Beautiful art which makes one feel lively

After a peaceful time at my room, I headed for some breakfast at The Eatery. The buffet is rightly named 'For the Love of Great Breakfast' as it has a spread of healthy and delicious breakfast.

Checking out at 10AM from this newly opened business hotel got me refreshed for the remaining week and hectic working life. Truly, it is the 'Best of Business' hotel.
