Madhur Bhandarkar unveils the trailer of Indu Sarkar: Kirti Kulhari and Neil Nitin Mukesh deliver outstanding performances

The power-packed trailer of Indu Sarkar has been unveiled today.  The movie stars Kirti Kulhari, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Supriya Vinod and Anupam Kher. Prior to this, the posters of Indu Sarkar movie have already been causing quite a stir on the social media and the trailer takes the excitement to the whole new level.

First look of the movie was released almost a week back which had Kirti Kulhari, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Anupam Kher.
The second poster gave away the look of Neil Nitin Mukesh and Supriya Vinod.
The final and complete poster was released today before the trailer which combined both the posters to complete this poster puzzle.
Indu Sarkar is directed by the National Award-winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar. The backdrop of the movie is Indira Gandhi’s declaration of Emergency in India during the 21-month period from 1975 to 1977. Kirti plays a stammering poetess in the movie, which is a fictional human drama, but Inspired by true events.

The film presented by Bharat Shah, produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and Mega Bollywood. Indu Sarkar has been shot in New Delhi, Mumbai and Pune and will release on July 28, 2017.

New menu with #FarziTwist at Farzi Cafe, Bengaluru

Farzi cafe is one of the happening places to dine and they keep their customers hooked with new additions and promotional menu. I have visited them many times, you can read about my visit here.
As I write this blog post, they have come up with a seasonal menu - Mango mania which you will read on my blog soon.
For this visit, I started my meal with Dhokla and Farsaan Salad, the gujrathi in me couldn't resist it. Next was Dal Moth and Chilli Chicken Patti Samosa. Both were full of flavors and chicken samosa has always been my weakness. samosa and dip served in the glass made sure I don't miss dipping my samosa with every bite. 
While accompanying my food with Litchi panna desire came Guntur Chilli Chicken and Sion Prawn Koliwada. Both have been my favorites from I savored it completely. Mac & cheese Pakidra bites was next which was an interesting take on mac & cheese pakoda and I loved the way it was served on a cycle. Kothimbir vadi papaya salad tikka was little dry to eat for me so I may not order his again.
Sandwich lovers will enjoy Iyengar bakery style toasties served on a key-plate. And Green curry paneer tikka were juicy and soft which made a non-paneer lover like me enjoy it. Ended the meal with Shawarma Biryani and Charred artichokes and cherry tomato. Farzi cafe always amazes me with their plating and presentation of food. I savored the main course with Farzi Ok.

I can never finish a meal without a dessert so rasmalai being my favorite, I relished Smoked fresh chenna flavoured Shrikhand and Farzi Sundae.
Every visit to farzi cafe always brings a bright smile on my face and I leave with a tummy full along with making memories. Head to Farzi Cafe now to try their additions on the menu.

Forgotten cuisine of Vijayanagara at Cubbon Pavilion, ITC Gardenia

Cuisine of Vijayanagara is a forgotten cuisine and some may not even know that it existed. Vijayanagara Empire reigned from the 14th -16th century but now their cuisine isn't found much. So, Chef Yogen and team of culinary experts not only searched for this buried cuisine but brought it to our plates.
Starting with appetisers, there was 1 veg and 2 non veg starters. Fried dumplings of raw banana was served which is named Balakkai Vada. Koli Menasakai which is Dry chicken preparation with red chilies and spices. Kaima Unde Bartad had small dumplings of lamb and coriander.
 
Then came the main course. I skipped the veg dishes because I found the non veg very tempting. My favorite was Kothimiri Koli Saaru which had Chicken in a coriander and coconut gravy. It tasted THE BEST with Akki roti (rice flour bread). You cannot stop at one for sure. 
Some more dishes were are on offer are Meen Huli which has fresh sear fish cubes cooked with tamarind and tomatoes. Seegadi Kal Menasu which has my favorite Prawns with black pepper. Urida Mamsa, succulent lamb chops with roast spice masala.
Some veg dishes which you can also relish are Ennai Badanakai which is a dish made from brinjal cooked in a roast peanut, tomato and tamarid gravy. Tondakai Pallya which is a dry preparation of Ivy gourd with fresh coconut and red chilly. Bele Menthe which is a yellow lentil dish with fenugreek leaves.

The dishes can be enjoyed with Mavinakai Annam which is raw mango rice and my favorite Koli Pulao which is a chicken cooked with rice and spices along with Chapati.
Not to end the meal without desserts, Akki Payasa which is rice and milk flavored with cardamom dessert. You can also taste Gullorige, sweet semolina flat bread stuffed with roast chana flour, coconut & cardamom.
Enjoy the festival till 4th June and head to Cubbon Pavilion for a dinner which will take you back to the 16th century.

Actor Akshay Kumar walks the ramp for Ramesh Dembla at the “INDIA LUXURY STYLE WEEK” Men's Edition 2017


Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar vowed the city with his style & charisma as he walked the ramp for leading designer Ramesh Dembla at the grand opening of the second edition of The India Luxury Style Week Men`s Edition 2017,  one of the most awaited fashion events.

Looking dapper and suave as he strolled down the ramp in a three piece grey & black suit, designed by Ramesh Dembla & flaunting his accessories for the occasion – his shaded glares & a Nanchaku, the actor left the audience in a screaming frenzy with his uber stylish sense of dressing and that chiselled to perfection physique.
The India Luxury Style Week Men’s Edition, 2017 focuses on the Indian Luxury Fashion Market, and is the sole fashion platform in the country focussing on men’s fashion. The brainchild of Ramesh Dembla, this extravagant affair spread over five days brings together the most illustrious desginers from across the country to showcase the hottest looks in menswear.
At the opening show on Day 1, designer Ramesh Dembla presented his latest collection, ‘Grunge’, wherein he pays tribute to this timeless style, albeit with his own interpretations. Playing with colours, along with the staple black, and using an interesting mix of fabrics, the collection was a contemporary twist to grunge and an instant hit with the audience.
Undoubtedly one of the most popular designers, his clothes speak of opulence and grandeur and his USP lies in the fact that the collections are a big hit off the ramp as well.
